This website, published by a licensed electrician, offers advice and information on electrical safety and home improvement.  It covers new electrical wiring, repairs, and safe practices.  The author emphasizes the importance of consulting a professional for complex electrical jobs and getting permits for any new electrical work.  Safety is a major theme throughout the website.

The National Electrical Code is referenced to help you find the relevant code sections for your project.  If you install new electrical wiring, your work must be code-compliant and inspected.  You can probably use a pocket code book for small jobs.

John was inspired to create the Mr. Electrician website because handymen, contractors, painters, landlords, tenants, homeowners, and others do a terrible and unsafe job working with wiring.  Much of his repair work as a licensed electrical contractor was fixing something a non-professional worked on.

There is also an article with photos of a re-grouting of a shower floor that I did myself using epoxy grout.

Additionally, there are articles about tools and tool reviews.

Most of the photos on Mr. Electrician’s new home page and website were taken by me on actual electrical repair and installation jobs.  A few were sent to me by fans.
